This thread has reminded me that we've generally paid Champions league prices for Championship players.

What is also odd is that half the 11 from the original post cost next to nothing in transfer fees.

That is £2 million in transfer fees (probably some big signing on fees). But comparing that to the likes of Sigurdsson, Bolasie, Gbamin, Mina.

So much waste.

Mina and Branthwaite would be a good pairing on the rare occasions both were fit.

Tarkowski wouldn't have looked out of place in any of our worst teams of the '90s.
