Had a few good nights in Widnes.
Albright & Wilsons Club, Widnes Rugby Union (The Wids) St Michaels Ditton, The 4 topped Oak, The Hammer, The Horse & Jockey and The Ball
Got on the lash with Jimmy Husband in the Ring O Bells once too
I was the novelty token Scouser back then

Edit; Not forgetting The Cazzies and Big Jim's

You wouldn’t be now

So, took my first drive over the new bridge around an hour or so ago. It’s impressive and you get across so easily. The old bridge is normally grid locked a round that time. I was coming back from work (warrington) drove up to the Darsbury express and took me about 10 minutes to get through. Around the Dundalk road/Ashley way was clear for once.

Out of how many bridges?

Stinks of a Merseyside tax to me this to be honest
Loads of road crossings: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_crossings_of_the_River_Thames
Even Woolwich ferry is free.
The M25 Queen Elizabeth Bridge was to be a toll bridge for the first 25 years. Now it is paid off, it is still a toll bridge, for ever. But it mainly taxes people who drive around London, not through it. There is a congestion charge for traffic which crosses through central London.

Widnes is worse mate as it scores 10 out 10 on the stink ometer.
I would have left a 20 foot gap in the middle.

If a girl asks you kiss her where it stinks, take her to Widnes, was the old saying back in the day I believe.

Bagged off with some thing in the Grafton one night, told me she was from Widnes, couldn’t get my fingers out quick enough.
