Does anybody on this forum give a stuff what's going on in the world of Manchester football? The way the press are going on about 'Pep vs Jose' has become incredibly tiresome unless you follow one of those teams. For me, what's going on in Merseyside is the most important football matter in the same way what's going on in North London is the most important matter for Spurs fans.I could say the same for Birmingham, North East etc. The press would do well to remember that there is more to English football than two new managers in one city.

When are you coming to town lid?

Isn't it a fortuitous quirk of fate that the 2 big managerial names are ready to lock horns just at the exact time when Sky's new mega bucks deal kicks in? Talk about blockbuster stuff for them.

It's a good job they don't pull the strings behind the scenes in football. You know, like News International and every other arm of Murdoch's slimy empire?

Who leaked it that LVG was getting hooked about an hour after he won the Cup for Utd?

It's the reason I stopped buying The Mirror in the 90's, the sports coverage was 90% United with the odd paragraph about us. Nothing's really changed, except now you can avoid it and go to the places where it's all about us.

When I get home from this hell hole where I work I'll be checking the odds for Mourinho to be sacked before the season's end.
I sense an implosion

Don't know about this coming season, but that implosion is coming to a TV screen somewhere near you within the time frame of this contract Jose has signed :)

Speed the day.

The money men in the media aren't stupid, they know what sells and what doesn't. It's the same in every other country. If you don't like it then don't buy it.
