I think it was a song called just the 1 about 97.they played it on top of the pops in white suits.think joe strummer had simat to do with that song as well. Not his greatest momentoh the time I seen them might've been later then, trying to remember that fkn song
Must have been a bit bladdered after all cos I can't remember thatAt the Glastonbury one, they put a lad in an inflatable boat and sent him out over the crowd during 'The Boatman'.

It was seriously hot as well. Fell asleep with me legs sticking out the end of someones tent and burnt them to fkDuring the 92 one they played the main stage in the afternoon. There was a massive crowd. Probably around the time of 'One Way'. Carter headlined one stage with Shakespeare's Sister(??!!!??!) on one of the others.
My first one. Thought it'd always be like that. Chucked it down for all five days for my second. Great memories. It was seriously hot as well. Fell asleep with me legs sticking out the end of someones tent and burnt them to fk
Can't remember to be honest. Dare I even say his name but I think that was the year I seen rolf harris singing stairway to heaven.bizzareFrom what I can remember other bands included Blur, Curve, Neds, Billy Bragg, Kirsty MacColl(RIP), Primal Scream, Catherine Wheel.
He wasn't there that year. If he was I'd probably have gone and watched him which is a bit scary. Remember this year well as I'd only just passed my driving test and me and my mate decided to go there even though we knew nothing about the festival. Ticket cost £60. Drove all the way from Anglesey, furthest I'd driven before that was to Llandudno. Feeling old now. Can't remember to be honest.
