Best young centre half in the world right now...potential to be the best full stop. Wouldn't swap him for any other defender

Labby/Hurst... Ratters/Mountfield he would fit in for anyone of those four..
The lad just has sheer class, never seems under pressure... which is in my view ,has got the nouse and skill to perform.
To me he is and will be better than Bobby Moore who i have seen.. live.. and never seeing Beckenbauer ..live.. i,ll hazard a guess he will become Der Kaiser 2 ...
Sadly he will move onto bigger things in his life that he won,t ever get with us

That's some claim that, and tar as you've seen a lot of Everton to put your neck out like that.

I wasn't alive to remember Catterick's teams but have just finished his biography, Stones seems similar to Labone.

Hope he gets to put a trophy or two over his head wearing our colours too.

Labby , and Hurst for me - Hursty was more like Stones, his advantage was his upper body strength and ability to win the ball in the air - hard to compare as those two played on mud baths and with an heavier ball- Stones though is a Bobby Moore style player pure class, if he had. Labone along side him we would not concede many goals with a decent Keeper in the mix- It would be sad to lose him so young we need a big buyer from now till next summer to keep him , and key players as I believe we are just two players away from pushing for something big!
