I'm a Massive fan of Hatton, been watching him since about 2003 when his victory over Vince Phillips put him on the map. Anyone fans?

The more and more I watch this build up the more I think he's going to flatten this mouthy little yank, he looks so sharp in his training clips.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

Great show from Hatton. Fought well, showed new learnt patience.

Felt sorry Malignaggi though. Harsh getting the stoppage. Deserved to try to go to the end. Would have lost on points regardless.

I know about the health and safety issues, but these blokes are fighters. They choose to be warriors and accept the risks.

Like most sports. Getting hindered by legslation.

well this thread turned out to be a real sucess didnt it. (n)(n)(n)

hatton is a monster, and i always knew after watching ther build up programmes that paulie wasnt good enough, it really surprised me how [Poor language removed] he actually is, hatton is the dogs bollocks, he is obviosuly nothing on floyd jnr, but clearly the next best great fight and i look forward to the next bout at wembley vs de la hoya or paquiao...i will be there!

Kingjoleon, have you ever stepped into a boxing ring and sparred a half decent amature? i doubt it cos if you had you wouldnt come out with that statement:huh: Paulie malignaggi got beat by a guy who has lost one fight in 45 and was weighing, probably over a stone heavier. he is far from [Poor language removed].

It was a great fight. Hatton pounded him from round 2 on. Saw a couple of moments of frustration from Hatton but he reeled it back in well.

It was harsh on Paulie to have it stopped, but his trainer told him he needed to see some fight in him to continue, and Paulie responds with 2 weak punches in 40 seconds. So he stepped in and ended it.

If you aren't gonna fight, then you don't deserve to continue, and IMO the trainer made the right decision.

And I don't think Paulie is a crap fighter, he just wasn't able to cope with an on-form, Mayweather-Sr trained Hatton.

hatton still carried his hands to low and there was very little head movement, but mayweather snr will have that sorted for his next fight. I didn't think mayweather snr had a massive influence with hattons technique, it looked the same old hatton but with new confidence. we will see the the mayweather snr defence in his next fight.(y)

So does Titus Bramble just get made to look like a fool by the best strikers in the game? No, he's [Poor language removed]! But if he played against pub teams week in week out he would look class.

Malignaggi has only fought 2 fighters of any note, cotto and hatton and was embarassed both times.

He offered nothing, ok he's not [Poor language removed], he's just got nothing on the best boxers. Which in my eyes makes him [Poor language removed].

He has been a world champion in a very competative division?
but i know what your saying and agree his performance on the night wasn't one of his best.
