Led by Zico, Javier Zanetti and Gheorghe Hagi and many other "experts" the Guardian has compiled a list of the top 100 footballers in the World for 2015.

I'd expect Stones and Lukaku to make an appearance, but not Barkley.

I havnt heard of the first 2, and keep thinking the 3rd one played for Rumania 20 years ago.

There's no way Stones will be on there if Hummels is only 75 and Chiellini only 71, and Lukaku won't either

Memphis #86? Guardian playing the WUM here. It's actually a terrible set-up, asking 123 people to vote on the top 100; you're only going to get a confluence of ignorance and popular names will be on the list while better players are left off. This is what happens with annual baseball All-Star voting in the US.

As for blues on the list? It will be Baines, Lukaku, Stones, Coleman, in that order, if any. Not quite sure Coleman makes it, but have no idea how they surveyed the participants to begin.

*No way Coleman gets on that list. Just read the rules--each judge gets a list of 250 players and ranks the top-40. Someone actually rated Koscielny and Memphis in their top-40 players in the world. What is actually going on here?
