Martinez when he got his big move to Everton

Jeffers started off at Arsenal with injuries and was behind Henry,Bergamp and Wiltord.

He looked most of the time he was there like he didn't think he should be there. If you think of the make up of the club in those days,we really were a bit French in the changing room and not many English lads and the few we had were London boys.

He went to the wrong club at the wrong time. He would probably have been better off staying put for a year or two or going to a midtable club to make a name for himself.

As far as Arteta is concerned, he has been a good player for us and only gets exposed by the manager picking him for a job he is quite clearly not suited too but still performs very well. He is still an excellent passer of the ball, actually one of the best in the league the last few seasons Check his stats. He does a job for us, a good one.

I know a lot on here are down on him but I really like him as a player and off the field. Before he joined us, he was one of my favourite none Arsenal players in the league.
It was a good move for the lad and personally I'm made up he won a medal, one of the best footballers i've seen play for us in the prem era, the season he did his knee he was absolutely terrific. I cringe when he gets booed by everton fans for behaving at arsenal the exact same way he behaved at everton. He could have left us a lot sooner than he did if he wanted, and probably needed a fresh start somewhere at the time.

Bebe. I remember when United signed him there was hype around him and just like that he was gone.

Andy Carroll as well.

There can surely be no doubt that Ferguson was on the take with the Bebe deal. That one stinks to high heaven. Not sure there was even that much hype about him, he was homeless a year earlier wasn't he?!

Correct.

I remember at least from the Manchester media that there was a ton of promise from Bebe. Then again those guys are paid to sniff the Red Devils jock straps so I should of expected nothing more.

Yeah you could be right about some shadiness when United paid $7 million for the guy despite Ferguson never seeing the man play.
