TRADING PLACES (1983)

The unlikely partnership of Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy combine to make Trading Places the fantastic comedy it is.

It's one of those movies that is overlooked - yet when you watch it back, you appreciate how good it is.

It isn't a "pure" comedy but it has plenty of laugh out loud moments throughout to intersperse the heavy satire.

HAPPY GILMORE (1996)

This film is just brilliant. Yes, Sandler plays this character all the time - the angry guy with social issues - but the script comes together with the character in this movie and everything works. Superb cameo from Stiller, and Carl Weathers doesn't come across as Apollo Creed in a different outfit for the only time in his career!

Julie Bowen wearing the black lingerie and holding the pitchers of ale in the dream sequence is a childhood memory I look back on fondly!!!

Special shout out for the Shooter McGavin character. Possibly the funniest baddie in comedy history!

WAYNE'S WORLD (1992)

Before Austin Power's, Mike Myers was best known for Wayne's World - the early 90s comedy that was the evil spawn of Saturday Night Live.

To be honest, time hasn't been kind on Wayne's World, but for the memories alone it deserves a place on the list.

TEAM AMERICA: WORLD POLICE (2004)

America! F*** YEAH!

Team America was the first serious deviation away from South Park for Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and they resorted to political satire using puppets in a way not seen since Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet. It was a complete breath of fresh air and fantastically funny to boot.

The song "I'm So Ronery", sang by "Kim Jong-Il", is amazing!

WATERBOY (1998)

Waterboy succeeds in raising smile after smile, and on more than one occasion has you near tears. Henry Winkler is astonishing in this movie, as is... well, everybody.

Adam Sandler is often ridiculed for playing the same character repeatedly but if you really think about it, this role must have been very hard to play.

One of my all time favourite quotes is in this film too - "Well, snakes don't really have parts, but if I had to call it something, I'd say it's the 'knee'."
