I don't think any player in the current side warrants a ten, maybe one or two have been a bit generous with their marks here, Arteta, Cahill,Jagielka, Howard, Lescott for instance would be two-thirds of the way there in general, but no player we have gets full marks, and- dare I say it- if a ten was needed, give it to Gerrard, the guy is far from my cup of tea, but for commitment, leadership and all round ability the little squirt is unparalleled.

I felt I had to use half-points because we have quite a lot of "tweeners" that are missing something in their game (experience, passing, tackling or consistency etc) to move them up a notch IMHO. A five or below would have to be considered reserve team quality compared to the rest of the squad and nobody gets a ten because that's reserved for one W.R. Dean...sorry! Obviously this is not a static opinion. Ask again in May... :lol:
