The Golden Generation!!....it's on guys it's on!!

I think the key with this 'golden generation' is that it genuinely seems to have had some real thought put into it, as though it were all the master plan or something, we just need to hope it works out!

Thus far, we have a VERY promising spine of youthful aged professional footballers who also share different experiences and qualities between them. If we keep them all for another 3-4 years imagine the sort of relationships and connections the players will have with one another. Many of our players are already currently touted very highly by both us, and as somebody else mentioned other teams, and we have seen our players values rise and rise.

I am particularly excited but it's in no way going to be a smooth ride along the way, plenty of learning curves for this squad still.

Onwards and upwards blues.

Difference between lukaku and Barkley is Barkley has had a lot more competition in midfield/no 10 possitions
While for most of last season lukaku had none
If we had another quality forward he would have spent half of last season on the bench
At times he was shocking
He was pretty poor Monday night until he scored

tbh i think that would have made him even better. he's played so much since he's been here he's never at his full sharpness. i think he's highly intelligent and has his foot too well grounded to NEED proper competition to push him.

But he's an absolute monster off the bench, he ripped teams apart at WBA, if he had someone good to start instead of him in cup games and some league games etc. he would be banging in 25 a season. let's hope we re-address that next summer or possibly rodriguez will be good enough then to step up.
