Now I don't go to Blue Kipper because the design is garbage, I go to TW main site because I like the design, NSNO is just so damn slow, and all the heads are here at GOT.com - so what do I deduce from recent postings.

All is well, all is blue (can't say rosy now can i?).

Why is it so good? Well we have just had a great season, performance wise, and most of us consciously never realised it. But there are no Moyes out posts, not many BK and Fatboy out posts. Rooney can go and hang. So sub-consciously we are elated to an extent.

Well most of us are looking at an eleven. Our best team. Some of us are thinking "[Poor language removed], we did well and Cahill was out for loads of games".
Well I look at around 40 players. Whether or not Howard wins trophies for his country don't concern me, because I know he is a top keeper and he is ours for 3 years. What I am concerned about is the lads in the wings, and if anyone turn out with half the talent of Rooney then I will be happy. Ones I am most looking forward to seeing are:

Jack Rodwell
John Paul Kissock
Jose Baxter
Kieran Agard

But really there are many that I am sure will do well. They may not all win trophies at youth level, but very rarely does a successful (trophy wise) collective youth team translate to the top level. (apart from Man U)

Then we have Scott Spencer, the kid I can't pronounce, chavtastic from Ireland, Bjarni, the lads who are breaking through now.

Its all good, and something else I have noticed from Moyes's tenure. He hasn't really sold any talent (bar Rooney, sorry Suits Gravesen doesn't equate for me). He has kept our best players and added some more quality. If we can hold on to Arteta and Cahill for another season, we may start to see some serious quality.

But one thing is for sure, I can't wait till the Wigan game, will have to get in early and make sure I don't get a [Poor language removed] seat.

Cmon the blues!!!

I have a choice, and its a toughie, season ticket or a couple of european away trips and a handful of home games.

oh, and your gravesen points dont fly with me, a player of note tarred with the same brush as the dross around him. somewhat unfair.

Well I ask where is he now? Not really blazing a trail is he?

I can't afford a ticket, unless something amazing happens in the next few weeks, I suppose I could buy one right up till the start of the season.

I dont want to get into economics, it certainly isnt the forum for such things (unless we are talking about 60k at £15 instead of 30k at £30 in a new stadium)

Grav did and does a jon for the danes that he did remarkably well for us when supplied with the proper personel in that eleven.

Real seemed to expect something different out of him, and so he suffered, but better players than grav never made it to the halcyon heights of REAL (his not being CL cup tied was a big factor)

As for tickets, season or otherwise, its always a pinch, if you have a family how can you legitimise cutting back on essentials so you can have a luxury like regular matches (and associated spending)

football isnt cheap anymore, beer isnt cheap and travel isnt cheap... welcome to blairs britain, where consumers get [Poor language removed] in the ass and no one gets to complain.

As for my choices, i did without last season, i didnt like it, but, it was a bullet that had to be faced down, as it is, i might be lucky enough to get to a uefa cup away tie or TWO, but i'll be damned if i waste that possibility on some polish or welsh side.

I hate to say it, but the slightly more glamourous clubs like some spanish, italian or german fixtures will be the ones i will plum (sp) for.

Well, like I say if he is that good why is he fading away. I think you are likely to be in the minority with Gravesen. I wasn't sorry to see him go, like I wasn't sorry to see Duncan go. I think we have become a better side without them.

Agree about tickets, and were one of the cheapest.

I am with Ghost on this, and the future does indeed look bright. I do expect Moyes to sign 2, perhaps 3, new players (starting with Jagielka). I've love to think we could land one or two of those Dutch U21 players - not the obvious and expensive ones, but De Ridder and perhaps Donk.

I have to agree progress has been made. As for the current squad yes I would like to see an LB, perhaps Bridge if he was available at a realistic price and wages, but also a little strengthening in midfield. As for upfront it would be nice to see a "wide" player and another striker if BT or McF leave but some decent young ones coming in now.
