I'm excited that we are acting like a professional club.. but we aren't back yet. we bought potentially 4 very good players, but none of them would have the top 4 envious (maybe one day but not now). Arsenal just spent big, we just sold big. If 25m is the new average then we haven't done much more than buy the new Jags and Cahill at new prices. That's the cautious view that says we mustn't get carried away.

Saying that I'm very positive we have opened a significant gap to those team below. The margins are small and if we could not have a 3 month melt down like last year anything is possible.. but losing Lukaku is going to make next season tough..

Agree entirely. The list of positives are undeniable and the sale of Lukaku, I believe will only add to the current transfer kitty. If Lukaku was to go and his fee was just to cover the transfer funds already spent, then Everton would be going into this season with just Ramirez and DCL as strikers, can anyone see Koeman accepting that?

I'm 32 years of age and with the exception of Kanchelskis signing after the '95 cup win I've never been so positive/hopeful.

Everton are currently setting the news agenda in football, we have a little way to go yet though, earlier on TalkSPORT they had John Cross in and when talking about the potential Lukaku deal him and the two presenters only focused on the club Lukaku was going to AND how it would effect the club that missed out on him. I believe as time progresses under Moshiri the first thing that will be talked of is who Everton are going to target should we lose one of our better players.

But all in all I can't ask for more from Moshiri. New stadium, no debt, 120 million spent in 6 and a bit months and the way we aggressively brought in Koeman.

I also feel lucky that I got a my ST back at the start of last season, because such is the positive feeling amongst Evertonians and those that go to the game especially as I'd of had no chance of getting one for this season with the waiting list you reference.
