Player Valuation: £35m
OK, so Chelsea started it, now City....huge transfers, big salaries....but that's not my problem seeing as they generally bought players that won them titles

but when i see players like Fletcher going for 12m, Jarvis for 11m, Bent to Villa for something crazy, Downing 20m, Henderson 20m, etc.....I'll say it again...FLETCHER FOR 12m! WTF is going on?

No he did mate but if fletcher gets 12 or more goals and holds the ball up creating more chances and easing pressure is he worth it then ? To me the problem with it is transfers its often not until they've had a season that you can judge there worth . Spurs buying of Pienaar looked a bargain but although they sold for a profit he was a terrible buy for them but for us a great signing . Some that look bargains are a waste of money and vice versa

he was only terrible because they didnt play him- I find it weird that people say that Pienaar was a disaster for Spurs, he did ok when he played but wasnt played in front of Bale, Lennon and Modric- no shame in that.

The few games I watched when he played he seemed off the pace and out of sorts and certainly not the player we'd watched but I accept being in and out and injured couldn't have helped his performances . Hopefully that won't distract too much from the point I was trying to make

Compared to Jarvis, Bent, Downing and Henderson Fletcher may be a "bargain".
