Our last season at Goodison will be a tough gig for all blues.
The one thing I would like to see is the ground stripped back to its bare brick, tin sheet and wooden magnificence.
Temporary blue cladding and murals of legends are great, but lets remember the ground for what it is and what it means to all blues alike.
Its going to be emotional...!

I don't want to think about it. My family has been going to Goodison since the 1920s. At least I've been able to take my son there. I've got so many memories of that place, although as I don't have a season ticket every time I go now we have a restricted view so I'm getting a bit miffed at that part!!

I know mate, it is annoying. But a restricted view will be something to reminisce about in years to come, a bit like the Gwladys St terrace.

This might shock some given that I have been going the Old Lady since the the 60s......but I am so over Goodison.

I wish this was our last season there and I for one cannot wait to see EFC ensconced in our new abode

And I won't be looking back ;)

I love Goodison as much as anybody and it's been a big part of my life for over half a Century too. I have introduced my son and my grandson's to 'The grand old lady'
It WILL be sad to say goodbye, but ALL things must come to an end.
Soon it will be my son/grandsons turn to take me to the match. . . . . . . . at a spanking new stadium near to the very heart of the City.

No looking back from me either @Khalekan

Yay....

Good Iain is one of the last bastions of the golden days of football, and despite being glitzy, glamorous (and utterly required) the new stadium will never be able to match the old lady for history or atmosphere. Will be a sad day indeed

Going to Goodison is a pattern I've been repeating for the past 35+years. It is a pattern that is intertwined with every chapter of my life to date. Leaving the Old Lady will take 'some getting used to'.

Sad to say goodbye but progress is something that a lot of people find challenging and I'm glad we're finally doing it.
