I agree with this but would also restrict the number of kids per family they are paid for.

Deffo for it. If you're earning that much you really need to take a look at yourself if you're holding your hands out for the state to help support your family.
I'm sure a few will be saying that they pay so much in tax that they deserve it back though, like the millionaires and bus-passes.

It's middle class benefits aka ( when it came out ) election bribes
15Bill of the 16Bill raised by the Aussie carbon tax was plowed back into benefits to cushion the blow for the lower ( and middle earners )

Not with the carbon tax but in NZ middle earners could claim a decent wedge as well

Middle Class benefits aka election bribes...benefits should be for the have nots... a safety net not a right and not for the it'll do no harm to have a bit mores.

if you go down the road of non-universal benefits then administration costs more and you create an us and them situation, i think child benefit should still be universal
