Drinks on me when we win the league

Good for you. What makes you want to finally want to have some beers and break your sobriety? If I may ask.
Wasn't really something I planned the not drinking, as I've got older I've drunk less and less. Got some major house renovations we're about to start and I've gotta rip down a shed and fence tomorrow for access for the excavation to start so may feel like a beer after that.

Good luck with the house renovations, it seems you have a busy weekend ahead so I can totally see why a nice cold beer would be the ultimate treat after so much work. Enjoy it.

Month off same as Sassy for me. Not gonna slip up though. Need to get my sleep in order. Can't stop eating though. Topics like this make me want to get on it though.

I grew up in a family who were all non drinkers. Never drank alcohol until I was doing my National Service in the Army. Enjoy a beer or a glass of wine or dram of Scotch but am happy with just one. Never been drunk (in my 84 years) but I think that is also down to being a bit of a 'control freak'. Being drunk and not in control of myself would be my worst nightmare.

I only drink on Fridays and Saturdays.... occasionally Sundays, high days and holidays.

It being a Friday I've cracked open a beer now. Too old to overdo it though. The only time I ever "feel drunk " is if I have a drink early afternoon for some reason. Goes right to my head briefly.

Normally OK by the time I've driven home like*.

*awaits meltdown from the humourless.
