Going slightly off topic, and hope you don't mind Ghost..
It maybe of interest to anyone who has a PS3 that the latest firmware has the BBC iPlayer add-on attached... I'm gonna give the Doors a try tomorrow..b)

Not even MG(love the lad) is going to bite you on this one Nick.

I may though. Great piece of footage/work/memories.

But I am not so .....................

(Will continue when I can type)

Just watched it. Learnt nothing new as I am fairly well versed on Doors stuff from my youth. Read all the books, studied the poetry, not one song I don't like. Used to be able to play along to most of them when I was learning guitar.

But to listen to the songs broken down, that's when you realise how tight that band was. Probably still is with the remaining 3.

The Classic Albums series was great. The one they did on The Band's The Band was superb. It included a story about 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down' - how Robbie Robertson put the song together after a conversation with some old Appalachian hillbilly. Rock Family Trees is also fantastic. The Heavy Metal one with Black Sabbath in it was funny as fcuk...without ever meaning to be funny. Brummies are ridiculous...Brummies singing about devil worship are off the charts ridiculous.

Wouldn't mind going to see Manzarek and Krieger in concert. Although obviously I was into all the lyrical genius of Morrison, I loved the band as a whole and appreciated the music.

Be amazing to see the two guys who played the melodic tunes of The Doors.
