Just saw this on CNN - the state of Tennessee has voted to bring back the electric chair, if lethal injection drugs aren't available:

What do you reckon lads? Should we bring back the death penalty in this country?

I know people worry about miscarriages of justice and all that, but how many of these terrible murderers that you hear about on the news end up falsely imprisoned?

For every 'Birmingham Six' there are many thousands of 'banged to rights, definitely did it' criminals.

Could we bring it back for the most heinous crimes, where there is literally no doubt at all that they did it?

For in principle, against in practicality.

Paedophiles and murderers should be killed IMO, but how many people have been found innocent and let out of jail after a few years?

Rather just keep them in a horrible little cell and feed them slop three times a day until they die myself.

No because I personally would rather be executed than serve life so it's not a bigger punishment, the only people who that would harm is the family of the accused and they are innocent 95% of the time so that's not fair.
