Lived in London at the time and went ... Almost silence in the ground it was that empty. Some good banter from
Our fans aimed at Vinnie Jones and john fashanu ... A good night !

Mad thing was you could waste the day if you were in the dole pre sky. Pay on gate cheap coach whole day out for your giro. No credits no credit cards etc

This thread is more exciting than that game by the sounds.

Remember going to Villa and Earl Barratt scored against us and we had Kenny Sansom left back.

Remember saying to my mate ' how 5hit is my life that I am here watching this'

I was at this game as well. Game kept on stopping as the ball was going into the empty terracing behind the goal. Big Nev had to open the gates to fetch the ball. The wimbledon chairman (Sam Hammen?) walked around the pitch and stood by himself on the terrace to act as the ball boy. I don't remember anything about the game, so much so that when I have told people about being at the least attended PL crowd ever as my rather sad claim to fame ,I have told them that it was a nil nil draw. Happy to hear from Toffeedoug that we won three one.

when they beat us 4-0 at selhurst around 97 is still one of the worst everton performances iv ever seen,
plough lane 86/87 was boss though
