The curse of Cheating - What can we do?

Player Valuation: £35m
I have been thinking about this for a short while now and I have come up with an idea.

Players earn far to much to money to be affected by fines.
retrospective bans mean nothing to them. The size of squads can cover that, and 3 points could be in the bag anyway.

I think that if you punish the team as a result of a players actions, you will find clubs start to self-police themselves. You will need a fully independant panel of ex-plyers, who will watch and study the games. They will then allocate points, for example, Crowding the referee, 1 point. Blatant Diving, 5 points. Getting involved where you dont need to (Riena is worst for this) 1 point.

You can then run a tally of all of these over the season. If you reach 20 points, you have a point deducted from the league. If you reach 30, 2 points. 40, 3 points etc etc. This way the clubs will see an absolute benefit from acting in a proper manner, teams who have been **** on will see action taken, and things may actually, like the old cliche says, even themselves out over a season. It gives room for mistakes to be made, and allows the rectifying when given time to properly reflect and clubs will see the benefit of stopping cheating from within.

It needs drastic measures, and I chose this idea over giving Suarez a poison apple.

I don't agree with that, if you take suarez for instance out of liberpool team for a few games everytime he does it, it would severly impact them and the same goes for most teams, keep hitting them with bans for diving increasing it everytime and it will stop I guarantee it.

3 games banned for each offense. It will work. Agree with above, it's not as if Liverpool have 3 Suarez's sitting on their bench each match.

Plus if you did that t-shirt sales would sky-rocket, thus boosting the economy as well. Win-win.

Thats sound mate, but I'm not just talking Liverpool here. It's th entire league, theyre not the only cheats.

Nothing. Diving is part of the game. Its too subjective too. For all we know Andy Caroll was tired and needed to take a quick nap or was shot by the elite govt snipers who make up the Anti-Liverpool conspiracy.

Dermot Gallagher's comments on SSN earlier were probably the best. If a player is found guilty of cheating, then ban them for two games. If they do it again, four games. If they do it after that, ten games. Honesty would soon become popular.

Guilty of diving = next match have to play wearing one of these.

Only way you can do it is to look at the game after the match and red card the offender. I will be generous and say Sometimes it can be difficult for the referee to see it.

If one team gains points because of dive which could happen especially with a penalty or a player sent off then that team gets points reduced. Points mean league places - loose that and have players red carded things would change quickly.

Retrospective banning. Not a fan of talk of points deductions etc.

To be honest I am not either but if Suarez dives against us and gets a penalty costing us a 4th place at the end of season then I think maybe because we would have been cheated out of a champions league place. He is the type of guy like he did at the World Cup who would be quite happy to dive and get a ban if it gets his team points. Which could happen.

It depends where you draw the line. The above GIF for example is clear simulation from Suarez (naturally...) but what do you do?

A typical RS moment was Carroll hearing the whistle - turning around to the ref and screaming [Poor language removed] OFF in his face - for blowing for half time.

Utter vermin.

Simple 3 match ban, longer for repeat offenders.

Some players like Young & Suarez will only play 4 games a season.

Will teach Jelavic not to do it but the difference with him is that we will tell him that anyway.
