This. I've lost count of the number of times I've been laughed at by quilts when ordering a korma, passanda or butter chicken because they're "not hot enough". Only for said quilts to be sweating like Jill Dando opening the front door, and having to neck a pint of water in 3 seconds flat. And then they leave half their plate as they can't handle it.

Bellends.

On the flipside I've lost count of the number of people who've claimed I'm only ordering a Madras or Vindaloo to look hard.

It doesn't actually look hard
It's possible to have a taste for and prefer very spicy food
And I've always cleared the plate.

Did have a Phall once out of curiosity but it was too hot for my liking and the burn coming out the morning after was uncomfortable. One of the nicest I've had was Chicken Chettinad at The Curry House in Paphos. Not hot but spicy and really different from any I've had in the UK.
