I refuse to accept the tedious excuse that is routinely trotted out when Goodison trancends its pernicious modern day apathy down on to the pitch for the players to writhe in like some stench ridden street urchins. It is pitiful given our current chance of finally finding ourselves on the cusp of that most elusive holier than thou European competition we all crave to sit there in silence like a petulant child denied of his favourite toy.

I feel like a fraud saying this as I haven't been all season given the fact I live outside the UK....... BUT, anyone going today should be frothing at the mouth and giving everything they have left inside them, a repeat of the Sunderland morgue will surely see the visitors take the game by the scruff of the neck whilst we again struggle to find our feet early on. Get behind the lads you set of lazy arses !

i am also not from Europe and feel the same -
the crowd must get behind the side and keep Clattenberg in check -
it certainly affects the outcome of games - positive and negative

I think the crowd did get behind the team against Sunderland. An how would you know if you wernt there!?

Ya bad wool ;)

Even roberto commented on how the crowd spurred them on!

I was at the back of the Lower Gwladys Street today and you could hear a pin drop at times. You could probably attribute that to the early kick-off and the fact that there was a lot of apprehension about the place.
