If I could have spent a bit of time with our lads in my lifetime thus far, then it would have been on their journey home tonight.

We have been shi'ite for weeks.

Tonight, the vast majority of those guys were a credit. I'd love to tell them that. That was a brilliant game and as unfortunate a defeat as I can remember since Young stole it for Villa in 08.

Onwards, upwards, Everton, West Brom, Monday, be there, be square.

I love the warm hearted appreciation and support of a desperately unlucky Everton.

When you step back though we have just been dumped out of our best chance of winning a cup this season that would end a twenty year gap which is one of the worst periods in our entire history.

This game was also the twelfth in a sequence of games that we've won just once.

No criticism aimed at you, I just find it weird how quickly were conditioned to accepting being plucky losers away at West Ham.

We need much better than what they're offering at the moment like.

You're pretty much completely right, in an ideal world that would still be poor.

My feeling is that after the poor performances that have typified our last three months, tonight was a top performance, and for the defeat to dishearten them would take more confidence away and strand us deeper in a dark battle at the bottom of the table.

I really, really get what you're saying mate. A lot of heart in that performance, but how they move forward from it should define the cup exit.

Slapping WBA all round our back yard and then likewise other teams for a few months onwards and I'll be able to look back positively at last night.

But right now I'm upset at twenty years of my life without Everton winning stuff.

Yeah I've seen us win nout, I was just one in 95 and its a bit devastating. But if supporting them through a massive poor patch means seeing us win something before I kick the bucket then it was worth it.

There's far better teams in the F.A Cup than the Europa League mate, plus we're much better adapted to the EL. All is not lost.

They defo need support from the fans in the ground right now. Starting against WBA. Proper arl arse into them Everton support.

This. We played well last night but the game was lost at Goodison. The end result is still the same, we're out of another cup in the first round and it now looks like it'll be atleast a 21 year wait until we have a chance to lift a cup again.
