Your point was destroyed when you started using the fact the CWC was an invitational event to castigate it and declare it illigitimate and I rightly pointed out that all competitions are invitational until they become qualification-bound...as happened with every competition you can think of in our game right now: FA Cup, top flight English league football; EC; WC....

You got it wrong.

The CWC is brash and lavished with cash. But it's not an illigitimate tournament. This can become established just like all those others mentioned.

No idea where the snobbery comes from when you see the utter commercial turd served up by the PL or the ridiculously boring and self important CL.

It's all the same to me.

Sighs. I merely replied to your question about what the difference was between the recent Club World Cup and The Champions League. I pointed out that the CWC was an invitation event. this is undoubtedly factually correct. So what exactly did I get wrong there Dave? This caused you to run off in all directions talking about other competitions beginning as invitation events, all interesting but completely irrelevant to your original question.
You now accuse me of declaring the CWC as being illegitimate. Where is that Dave? Can you show me?

Awww...that's nice. Feeling warm and fuzzy.

So all those clubs that had to play through the summer in the half empty stadiums in terrible weather, and DJT says he`s keeping the trophy and FIFA can give the winners a copy. I suppose it will look well with his noble peace prize, after he sells enough arms to Israel and Ukraine, and is finished bombing Iran.
