Its not saying you can't feel something, it's just that while we really believe in 'humanity' fundamentally it washes over us with all the emotional longevity of any of our senses. Which is momentarily.

As humans we are bred to be competitive, primal animals.

We think we care, but in reality it isnt affecting us so we move on.
