The Chilli Pepper Thread

This year is going to be ambitious I want to plant 25-35 plants. It will take a bit of early indoor growing. I'll start to germinate the seeds In a week or two, updating the thread with pictures and maybe and perhaps an anecdote involving a domestic dispute. Not to be confused with demestos the toilet cleaning product

I have dried these by removing them from my old produce and placed in tissue on the radiator for a day..

So I'll update you on the germination process. And yes I dabble in Mary Jane.

I have began the germination process today. It's going to be a big year and not just because of our Europa exploits.

Just put your dried seeds into toilet tissue like so.

(Capsicum may remain on the seeds so I wouldn't wipe me arrse with said toilet tissue after use)

Roll it up and drip water on the tissue. It's very import your don't drench the tissue or the seeds won't germinate and they'll rot. Drip on the tissue until it's around 40% wet. Try and distribute the water evenly. I soak tissue and squeeze over. Running under a tap is for kopites.

Tie the wet seeded tissue into something airtight. Any erm.. Sweet dealer would fined this a doddle. Just use a light rubbish bag. I used clingfilm here though. Make sure it's airtight!

You don't need tubware but try find something of container standards that's airtight To put it in and seal.

Put the container in a pitch dark place that is warm like a boiler room or whatever. If you wish to use a radiator make sure the container and rubbish bag blocks out sunlight. Germination is recreating conditions that warm country seeds need to experience in the dirt.

Check on them in 10 days or two weeks see if there is anything sprouting. I'll report back here in two weeks. So come to the Alehouse for exclusive Jaytality chilli feeds.
