It's finally here..

Since I moved out and did my own shopping I have been buying all kinds of chillis. I love anything from Jalepeno to Habenero and all inbetween. I decided one day in February to extract seeds from a few mixed chili such as Habenero etc. After some research I learned to dry, germinate, plant and grow them. They were gaining momentum, by May they were gathering leafs. Then my girl friend took her anger at me out on the plants and destroyed them with domestos bleach.
She did regret this and attempted to apologise by buying me a grow kit with Jalapeño and thai demon red. I refused to grow them, I was still in mourning. Then just before June I decided to grow a few, late as it was.

I decided I wanted to create my own chili sauce. All this time. I have enjoyed the pass-time of reading and gathering knowledge.

Anyone growing? What are ya growing? What are you doing with the produce? Any pictures?

Here is two Jalepeno and one of my thai red that has flowered yesterday;

Your girlfriend sounds scary.

Anyway, I've got a banana pepper plant (the long yellowy-green ones you get pickled with a kebab) which are just flowering after what seems like an eternity, plus I've got a chili pepper plant that is sprouting all manner of fruits (although the pic on the packet said little red ones, these have bulbed out like scotch bonnets).

Also got a capsicum pepper plant but that seems to be struggling to get going.

My yellow courgette plant, on the other hand, is off the chain, got about 9 courgettes growing about half an inch a day.

Yeah Im familiar with the banana peppers. I have often bought pickled ones and eat them as snack. I'm not too familiar with courgettes?
I have seen a few tutorials on making simple hot sauce. I'm going to order a few 60ml bottles. The thai chili plants I have are sub called 'demon red' I'm going to Ironically call the sauce I make; Angel Blue. I might end up calling the sauce Rooney or perhaps Judas. As he fronted as a Blue but allied with the Devils. Anyway I'll keep ya posted on the progress. If ya can get a picture up please do.

Reminded me of @kenyonl a bit, this, for some reason.

Is it wrong that I found it funny? Sorry for your loss, like!

Cut the largest chilli pepper off and sampled it this evening. It's volcanic, but rather nice. Reckon I might harvest a handful and make a small batch of sauce.

Ah I see the funny side. But on the.day it happened and a few days after I didn have a sense of humour. At first she denied it. All plants were limp and dead overnight. They had a toxic smell about them so I gathered every cleaning product in my house and carried out a smell match experiment. Once I found the match she confessed.

Well your girlfriend knew what she was getting into when she decided to date Sherlock Holmes.

To be fare it was probably the worst thing she ever did. I was like a mad man hell bent on revenge for a few days. But I let it go.
