The Casablanca derby

ive just experienced the most bonkers match I've been to yet! Wydad Casablanca v Raja Casablanca.

I've never known anything quite like that. It was pure bedlam, off the richter scale. Fighting all afternoon and still going off outside now. The ground holds about 75,000 but there must have been at least 85-90,000 in there as thousands were jibbing in. I got to the ground just before 11am for a 2.30 kick-off and it was already chaos. There must have been 40-50,000 inside by the time I got in, hours before the start.

They were even fighting ON THE ROOF of the main stand that I was in. Hand-to-hand stuff and with sticks etc, and right by the edge of the roof. Real heart-in-mouth stuff, and god knows what happened that I didn't see.

I didn't see any other whites/Europeans at all, so it was pretty on top throughout for me. Nerve jangling at times but I love all that stuff and got away unscathed.

It was a real bucket list game for me and I'm glad I did it. That atmosphere was simp,y incredible.

I've posted a load of photos and videos on the 'European Football Weekends' page in Facebook if anyone's interested.

you live the life you mate . Fair play.

Of all the derbies in all the leagues in all the world you had to go to this one.

I've already done plenty of the 'big ones', and this was another on the list that I fancied doing. It ranks better than el Classico or the Milan derby in my opinion.
