The Brown Shoes Loan System

My mistake I should have know better really. It's obvious any who follows football will keep such a keen eye on the Portugal youth league watching out for promising African players and then track their careers through various loans. I mean it's so easy to do what with Primeira Liga never off the TV, I mean it's not like anyone has ever gone down the route of claiming some kid is a good player off the back of a few FIFA seasons is it?

So who should we be looking out for this season who also impressed you from 4 years ago?

Generally speaking the way I do it is notice some wonderkids banded about on the Internet > check their potential in FIFA > then watch YouTube clips > then watch them in actual games to see if the previous steps add up.

Stop fighting with a fellow Evertonian over him knowing something about a foreign footballer.

This kind of bickering is ridiculous regardless of why or how he developed his knowledge on players.

There are alot of people that watch lots of world football by the way.

^ this.

Some people - like myself - are just fully addicted to watching football. I can watch any game, any time, doesn't matter who is playing. Since it's a tournament gap year so far I've been up before work to watch the U20 World Cup, seen almost every U21 Euro's game and even watched the women's game.

This forum often makes it seem if you watch anything other than Everton matches you're some kind of FIFA-wizard.

Exactly, I've been watching the Copa America myself, and doing a bit of betting to make it extra fun (or depressing) haha.

Argentina have been dominating possession every game but struggling to finish opponents off, frustrating when I have had them on Handicap bets a couple of times!

Some Dutch fella

Don't like the setup fee and payments. Swerve.

I don't think we saw enough of Traore to form an accurate opinion.

Since when has that stopped anyone on a forum from commenting?

I agree that loans where we're looking at buying are the best. And it looks like the boss weaving his magic can get players to sign even with better paying options on the table.

I'm just a bad person I suppose.

Well smart arse, a lot of the players i could tell you about that were promising 4 years ago have actually made a name for themselves since then so it would be a arguably waste of time.

It would make sense to make quality signings with the money we have.

The loan system should be used for players from teams like Munir at Barca and previously Deulofeu who cant quite get into their first team.

If someone like Barry or Lukaku pops up then all the better but makes more sense going for Deulofeu types with a buying clause (even if quite high) as then if they set the league alight we have a small chance to sign them.
