The bloke behind the park end

after the game there was a fella getting resuscitated behind the park end. Was quite intense and really grim to see.

Does anyone know if he’s ok? Can’t stop thinking about him. ☹️☹️☹️
Hope he is mate. Saw someone being taken past me today by 4 ambulance crew and his Mrs in tow past lower bullens . He looked very pale. Best wishes to whoever this is.

Anyone know anything about this? I’m kind of glad nothing has come out on social media or on here yet because I reckon if he had passed away someone would have heard something.

I came on here looking for a thread hoping someone would know the guy.. I was walking up Walton Av and noticed an older gent holding on to the railing. Went about two steps past him and turned back to ask if he was okay and he fell in to me. Just about managed to get him and laid him down while a girl who also stopped ran over the road to get a policeman. Policeman radioed it in and I stayed knelt down with him just asking if he was okay etc until another policeman arrived and took over- after that the St John's and paramedics arrived and the policeman asked me to just leave them to it so I did. Really hoping he is okay, if anyone knows him then please let me know!

I've checked w/ Merseyside police and Ambulance this morning but they said due to data protection they can't give out any information. Got everything crossed for him!

ahh yer the feller from the street end how was he? he looked in good spirits when getting pushed away

anyone notice how thick the steward was at the street end, he had abar 50 people shouting get here and get the paramedics quick and he was staring back into space

From a mailing list yesterday:
Regarding the guy getting CPR at the bus stop. It was close friend who I sit with, at the match, but we travel separately.
Very pleased to say that he "WhatsApped" me at 6.30am today and he is fine - well as fine as he can be.
Strangely, we were caught in the traffic at the bus stops and an ambulance came past us and must have been the one my mate Clive was in.

And today:
Just a note on my mate who had the heart attack after the match. (And who wouldn't after that display !!)
He has just phoned and is on the mend.
Clive learned later that there was a police officer on the spot, who immediately started CPR, closely followed by an AVR, who had a defribulator,
and started him "going" again. They later visited him in hospital to see how he was doing.

That is absolutely fantastic news - I was very worried for the guy so I'm absolutely made up to hear he's on the mend. I'd love to get in touch with him to wish him all the best and see how he is - I don't suppose you have contact details for his mate sending the message? Please send me a private message on here if so!
