Accidental? Shanked a corner straight into the far side netting. Complete accident.
Intentional? Lobbed a keeper from the half-line of a 7v7 field in a charity game. I screamed an expletive in shock and had to apologize to a bunch of mothers who brought children.

dont really have a position my manager just tells me to float around and find space and look for the ball. i tend to try and do some fancy stuff which is very hit and miss i make myself look a tit sometimes but when it comes off and you make the biggest nobhead on the field look a right bellend, you cant beat it.

Unitentional ......Played the ball off to the right wing, was charging towards the area looking for thr return cross when the Centre Half tripped me just on the edge of the box sent hurtling through the air, met the ball full on with my head and it went in the top corner like a rocket , so I'm told because I was face down in the mud! Never even saw it!

Mine happened to be an indoor match (was a defender my entire outdoor career so, like Hibbert, never much opportunity to score and the ones I did score were decidedly average.)

Went on a barnstorming run down the right and had a ball crossed to me in the air from the left side.

Let the ball cross my body and gave it a full volley from about 20-25 yards out with my right foot.

Keeper didn't even have time to get his hands up and for just a second, while I was wheeling away (acting like I'd done something like that before) the rest of my players sat there gobsmacked. One of them who was a forward and I've played with for over 20 years said he'd never seen me do something like that before.

I said that makes two of us and you'll never see it again.

(For the record, I actually had the same type of opportunity the very next week but naturally, I fired it in to the netting about 20 feet above the goal. THAT was more like it.)
