Everyone always gets asked what the best song is so I thought I'd be different and ask what are the best individual bits of songs?

Eg, What's the best...

Guitar part to a song?
Drum part to a song?
Vocals on a song?
Lyrics to a song?

For me, it's...

Guitar part to a song? Nuno bettencourt (extreme) - get the funk out
Drum part to a song? John Bonham (led zep) - kashmir
Vocals on a song? Janice joplin - piece of my heart
Lyrics to a song? Don McLean - vincent

Best overall song for me is bohemian rhapsody (ignoring stuff like classical music and hymns which are on another planet).

Feel free to add categories.

Must’ve heard that song 1000+ times and I still get goosebumps when it gets to that bit
In the build up to Liam Gallagher coming on stage at the O2 last year, what now seems like an eternity ago, Resurrection blasted out over the PA. Set the mood of the crowd up perfectly. It’s on YouTube actually.

I'm sure I've heard it at a few gigs. Wonder whether it's a good song to test the audio setup or just to get the crowd going?

You can have an ace song with crap lyrics. Someone already mentioned Bo Rap. Add plenty of Led Zep songs to that.

You can have an ace song with pretty poor singers. Most of punk for example.

But you cant have an ace song with crap guitar and/or drums.

But most musicians would say the bass is the, well, base of any band/song.
