The Barkley Marathons

I saw a headline on twitter about the Barkley Marathons and immediately assumed that our former 'fan-favourite' Ross Barkley was doing an Eddie Izzard (the running bit). It turns out the Barkley Marathons is a weird ultramarathon in the US where people run around the woods for 100 miles. In the many years of its existence only 14 people have completed it.

Got me thinking, who or what would Ross Barkley run 100 miles for?

The documentary on the Barkley Marathons is superb! Very eccentric race that begins with the lighting of a cigarette and has an essay contest to enter and all sorts of inside jokes/lingo. One of the more enjoyable documentaries I’ve seen as of recent. Was on Netflix, not sure if it still is.
