Hello!

For my next Everton match I've decided to keep things cheap, and I've booked three nights at the Banjo in Bootle. Is there somebody who can offer some advice for nearby pubs? And, is this generally a safe area to walk in at nighttime..?

Thanks in advance for replies!

Not going to lie mate, you're in a bit of a rough part of Liverpool there so I would keep an eye out but you should be ok.

In terms of pubs, walk down to bootle centre and you've got quite a few to choose from. The merton, cat and fiddle, jawbone, jollys, yates, the albion etc. I'd recommend the jawbone for a decent pint on a Saturday night.

Do not go to the lock keeper. Dreadful place, with dreadful ale.

There's cheap and there's cheap mate if you booked through booking.com I'd cancel if not .... don't bring a cat with you and if you turn over in bed you will be straight out the window ! :p unnamed.webp

I've stayed there a couple of times and it was fine, cheap as chips and bus goes from the end of the road into town.
A bit of a trek to GP, takes about 30 mins I'd say.

Do you like "back to the future"?
If so go to the Strand theres still a JJB Sports, theres a pub by there thats the replica of the Star Wars bar, plus walking around is like the walking dead series, its basically the Hollywood of Europe

My brother lives by there. It's like the island of Doctor Moreau.

Edit: First day he moved in, there was an ice cream van doing laps of the various streets. In January. That is some old school drug dealing.
