Interesting watching them last night. I really think that it's time for Wenger to call it a day at the end of this season and I know many Gooners who feel the same.
It's the same thing from them every season it feels. I like them as a club but I do feel that their FA Cup win at the end of last season will hinder them rather than help them progress. What? Winning a pot is A BAD THING? No, it's not. Winning the FA Cup is fantastic and I'd kill to see us get to a final, it's been too long - but hear me out.
Wenger was reportedly going to call it a day IF Arsenal didn't beat Hull on that afternoon. We all know what happened in the end and Arsenal went back to North London with a shiny pot and happy fans.
But they've now got the stubborn one in charge for another, what, 3 years? 4 years? They're going nowhere under him in my opinion. They won't get near the league title or CL final this season yet again so what IS their ambition? What are they trying to achieve at the Emirates? Why did Wenger ignore the striker, defensive midfielder and centre back positions? Why did he feel bringing in Danny Welbeck for £16 million was the right thing to do when our Welbz couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo? That Immobile fella for Dortmund looks class - why wasn't Arsenal in for that calibre of striker rather than our 4th choice striker?
Worrying times for the Gooners or is just plodding along enough?
