exercise is key IMHO. i go walkies at least 1 hour a day and have a healthy salad with my pedigree chum. i'm as fit as a butcher's dog.
 

what has you and able bodied got to do with good nutrition??

And yes, whilst highly processed carbohydrates should be reduced in a pre-diabetic patient, that does not equal a low carbohydrate diet.

eating sweet potatoe, berries and certain fruits, whole wheat pasta/bread, couscous etc are full of nutrients and/or fibre which will stabilise blood sugar; especially when paired with a protein.
sorry eating sweet potatoes and a few berries wont solve any obesity pandemic.
when you put whole wheat pasta or bread in your mouth,your saliva turns it to glucose immediately,creating an insulin spike and your body will store the excess calories as fat.
this crap is what GPs are told by the government to promote as healthy eating and as the results show its not working.
anyway ill leave it there,hi 5 to you if its working for you!
if anyone is struggling with obesity id recommend watching a few videos of dr ken berry on youtube,
he knows his stuff and is a real dr,not some know it all crank (myself included) on an everton forum!

i think you need to read my post again,i said eating whole wheat bread,pasta,sweet potatos will spike your insulin!
secondly you debunk social media doctors,then produce a tweet from one,weirdly!
i think part of the problem is that you have been brainwashed into thinking whole grains and "good" carbs in general are healthy and it must be difficult to accept that they are far from that!
as for being sucked in,iv lost 4 stone over 4 years firstly doing keto and 12 months carnivore,so if iv been sucked in as youv put it,great.as well as losing the weight and keeping it off iv managed to reverse type 2 diabetes,so iam all for it!
the crap "good for you plate" the NHS recommended by my obese GP with whole grain pasta,fruit and sweet potatoes can stay in bin!

5. Dr Ken Berry was an ER Dr, he has no understanding of nutrition. He has also started a company, involved in clearing of biochemical attacks; which ran into issues with the FBI
6. You’ve lost weight on Keto because you’ve reduced your calories; eat 5000 calories of Keto friendly food and you’ll put weight. Basic facts fam
7. You should try researching your own data rather than relying on utter Bro-Science tosh on internet. An example of this would be reading studies like this one from 2013 which highlights that after reviewing patient of 200,000 people of a number studies it found that there was a higher mortality rate with VLCD. There are plenty of other studies supporting this

but congratulations on losing weight, you would have done the same by following a simple mixed diet, because that’s just how the body works

Because all the Keto Dr Ken crap has been denounced by the nutrional community, it should only be used in extreme high cases of obesity in a controlled diet for a short period of time.
