JAYTALITY

Player Valuation: £30m
Reading people's comments in the ironic 'can we stop the Mourinho talk' thread got me thinking.

Everton remind me an awful lot like my country Ireland. We are a nation of begrudgery any expression, confidence, happyness people will pipe you right down. And label you.

Everton is infected. I think Ireland's disease is a hangover of imperialism Even in the process of taking our country back many begrudged, many of the public were conditioned to piping it down. A broken people.

I wish Evertonians would stop with the propaganda of labeling and dream big. So ironic the word Kopite being used to neutralise our ambitions of success. We need to take the city back as Evertonians. Our history demands it. Don't let anyone inside or outside shut you down.

I do ultimately believe in freedom of speech and believe you can carry on if it's how you feel but I suggest if Evertonians must kopite-shame try saying it to a person who wishes Everton no success. Call it to a person who apparently don't have the best for Everton in their interest. Like y'know a Kopite would?

Nil satis nisi optimum.

Níl ach an chuid is fearr maith go leor.

Nothing but the best is good enough.

Labeling in propaganda terms.

Labeling
A euphemism is used when the propagandist attempts to increase the perceived quality, credibility, or credence of a particular ideal. A dysphemism is used when the intent of the propagandist is to discredit, diminish the perceived quality, or hurt the perceived righteousness of the individual. By creating a “label”, “category”, or “faction” of a population, it is much easier to make an example of these larger bodies, because they can uplift or defame the individual without actually incurring legal-defamation. Labeling can be thought of as a sub-set of guilt by association, another logical fallacy.

Come on Everton, these are s---!

I wouldn't be against a re invasion of Ireland tbh

I suppose we could do with another victory in a war against the English just for a moral boost ;). Not winning the eurovision song contest for ages is straining our culture it could be what we need.

There is certainly a lot of commonality between supporting Everton and Ireland for me anyway. I like the under dog tag and the passion of the supporters. I don't think that this should conflict with wanting to be the best. However, for me, it has to be done in the right way. Although he may be a top tier manager, I don't believe that Mourinho would be a good cultural fit for Everton. His ego is too big. Wherever he goes it is all about him not the club.
