They should have done 5 per decade to address different generations. I can't be arsed to think up 30 cartoon characters, like, but it would be interesting to see how they've changed.

agreed, that's a better thread. i just took the 10 from the guardian, went on memory to fill a few more, and googled "best children's tv characters" to bulk it up some.


Doctor Who should route this, to be honest (even 60-year old granddads watched it as a kid ffs). But Samurai Jack is still pretty amazing.
