Utter Cad.
For the day. Queen's diamond jubilee, doncha know. The official day falls in a school holiday so we were allowed to take an "occasional day" on a date of our choice. Off to the British Museum and Borough Market in a short while.

¡Ostras, vino de Jerez y cervezas para mi, hoy! Que bien es la vida.

God forbid the public sector taking strike action and costing the country billions, but its ok we can all take the day off for the Queen's birthday, that won't cost a penny

My work are always given the week off for that 2nd "may" bank holiday just the same as the school's get,so the Queens diamond jubilee made no Difference Holiday wise for me, as well as 2 weeks off at x-mas,pity they wont give 6 weks summer hols as well .

Yeah but don't teachers work full time during the school holidays anyway?

You know what, Bruce - I did do a bit of work yesterday because I went and checked out the British Museum for a trip. Several times a year I run what we call the "Saturday Morning Picnic Club" where we invite all children and parents to come to a free museum or gallery then have a picnic nearby afterwards. It's a wonderful thing which encourages less wealthy families to do something they otherwise tend not to do. I don't get paid for it - it's purely voluntary.

And when I'm in school I'm far too busy to sit online posting bull**** on a Footie forum, unlike yourself.

haha touche Mr Wayne!

Teachers don't get paid by the hour. They get the same whether they work 40 hours a week or 65 hours a week (and the latter is much closer to the truth than the former). Anyway Bruce, any chance of you telling us what your point is?
