Now I know a load of you lids have been...

Recommend me some stuff please!

Off there in three weeks...

Thanks! xxx

my GF is Thai, get down to the south, you get sick of BKK in a few days, been there done that.

head to the south, Hua Hin, Ko Samui (Nora buri resort) and Krabi are all win win destinations.

Chaing Mai is also good.

be careful in Bangkok, dont be taking cash out of your wallet in open spaces, be street wise. Never leave anything behind you.

Have a great time!

ng are you going for? If got to the south log pang Ghana was good. It's been a good 10 or 15 years since I was last there though.

Had mates that went there for a 3wk humanitarian mission. Depends on how long you're there really.

Phi Phi is more of a relaxed place, still a nightlife but people go there more for a chilled few days

If its your first time id go to Koh Samui, large island plenty of choice. Chaweng is where the main bars are on the island so if you are after a lively nightlife then thats your best bet. The full moon party is just a short boat ride to the next island as well.

As people have already said its such a diverse country it really depends what you're after, dont stay in Bangkok for more than a night or two

Ive got more time now so,An Ang in Krabi is a great spot for tours to islands its on the west coast just above Trang on the east coast theres Satun its a ferry port to Samui (great for the 1st timer) Chawang for the night Lamai for the beach and Nathon for the seafood (its the port for the ferry).Bangkok is boss for 2 days but in the south you have Hat Yai thats if you want the real thailand,i could go no.
If you want anymore info ask,i lived there for years.
