I'd put forward an argument that we are probably the most boring side in the football pyramid. Teams below us have the emotional rollercoaster of relegation fights, play offs, promotions, maybe even days at Wembley winning lesser trophies. Teams above us have title challenges and top 4 football. We have had nothing but midtabld mediocrity for near 20 years. Not one big away win in that time, barely a Derby win at all, every minor success followed by utter embarrassment. Different players, different managers, same crap. You'd think in that time there'd be one last minute winner at the pit or perhaps a great European night, but no. The best European night st Goodison since 85 was a tie v Fiorentina that ended with us being knocked out. Awful club yet we sell out every home game and have the best European seat following of any English side. They really really do not deserve us.

I have consoled myself today thinking of 2 Everton related things:

1) Bramley Moore will be our game changer. There is too much money involved for it not to happen.

2) Our next manager has a very talented squad to work with. A new striker and more importantly, a new set of formations and we can expect to be entertained.

At this exact moment its the Strictly Come Dancing spin off show. I've learned that they have a presenter called Gethin Jones, and I keep thinking "you've made the right decision lad, Everton will only break your heart".

In a surprising development, it turns out he's not our u23 that was nearly murdered by an Arsenal tackle during the week, but the advice still holds if you're watching, Gethin.

Be back watching American Football like a Man Utd fan soon.

CONYBL25, do know that fella in the picture, looks like he's got my coat on, it was robbed from Ned Kelly's the other week, it had £300 and my bus pass in one of the pockets. There is a small reward if you name him, a very small reward as I don't like grasses. !!!!

As much as I sympathise with your loss, anyone who doesn't take care of a coat with 300 quid in their pocket is fair game.
