Terrible pitch

Not that it's any real excuse for some of the tripe we've been playing, but what's happened to our pitch? It doesn't look too bad from inside the ground but just looking at it on TV, what a mess. Some pitches are still immaculate (eg The Emirates) but ours is threadbare in parts and lumpy in others. Didn't we spend a lot relaying it with some new type of semi-artificial grass woven in, supposedly to stop the pitch degenerating in the way it has? Well it hasn't worked if we did.

Tell you what the amount of people who are on there at half time and before the match gets a bit ridiculous at times, no wonder its getting worn down. The drainage at Goodison is meant to be really good, which is why they have to water it even when its raining, maybe its too good and the water is seeping right through it?

all that watering's probably rotting the plastic and the lumps are it bunching together like a fat birds knickers

It always looks better from the side than when you are on it. I [Poor language removed] my foot up on it last May, cos it has hardly any grass and if it hasn't been well watered its really uneven. Still trying to recover from it now!
