I bet you've defo got a VW Transporter with a bike rack :)

Hahaha, not quite mate!

TNFT's (North face tents) are very good exped quality lids. As for clothing, I think they're doing what a lot of niche brands do when they get popular - hit the high street with cheapo manufactured kit under there label whilst increasing their profit margin. Perhaps they are still doing good top-end stuff that was their bread and butter originally, although I wouldn't touch them personally. :)

-and not wanting to touch the top one with the proverbial poopy stick :)

For a family tent go outdoors have loads - stick to the Vango's and swerve their own brand (hi-gear). As long as you clean it and re-waterproof it every 6-12 months it should last for beards.

If you want a recommendation for an expedition type tent then I say this is a winner IMO

Thanks Mutzo!
It doesn't suit our particular requirements like, but it's quite impressive for a budget exped, with some good specs :)

Check out the ones Evilwebby suggested on the first page mate, they do quite a few models, and as they're almost an instant no-brainer to get up, should be ideal on the session with other priorities :)

Get one from Tesco for a tenner as your probably going to throw it on a fire on the Sunday night.

This. It'll more than likely get wrecked and you won't want to take it back with you. We just took all the ground pegs out of ours and let the wind take it away. Also, you'll probably need at least a 3 man if there's 2 of you, your bags and that will take up a load of room.
