Player Valuation: £50m
deep into the 2nd week at the Aus open already

There’s a sort-of Brit in the Semis.
Rafael and Djok’s bodies couldn’t hold up. Leaves the door ajar for the GOAT to add another major.

No idea at all what is going on with the lasses.

It would be pretty amazing if Federer doesn’t win this quite easily now. Shame to see Rafael have to retire injured. Surely it will be a Federer v Cilic final and I guess everyone see only one winner there

Cilic is a danger man for Fed.

Easy QF win for Federer, barely needed to get out of 3rd gear to see off Berdych.

Just astonishing the level his game is at at 36 and how he has maintained his fitness while the others are succumbing to the inevitable injuries accumulated through years after year on the tour.

He's on drugs

Good to see Edmunds doing so well. Haven't seen much of him myself, but a few highlights of his ground strokes. Don't see any reason he can't win his next game, having already beaten the No. 11 & 3 players. Would be some achievement to make the final, especially considering how few decent British players there have been over the last few decades, and how out of left field it has come. That would be some return on his coaching changes!

The South African kopite is out

Oh well...

It was looking a serious coin toss in the early stage of the 5th set, but Federer managed to hold serve and then it was all one way traffic.

GS#20. That is just ridiculous. Although you never quite know in sport because someone will always come along and eclipse all previous records, but I don't think we'll see his likes again, certainly within my lifetime.
