Yes haha, but walking in the coey and getting some sausages and asking for sims is something I might have done.

What ever country you are going to, take out your sim and buy a local sim, that way no roaming charges I believe.

this...and if you phone is locked by a cheap unlocked phone, got the samsung Y a cheap entry level smart phone from tesco and sold it when I got back to somebody else going to the UK with the tesco card. I had the fun of a new phone to explore and no worrys on the bill when you get home. I made 80% back so all up less the cost of my UK calls, txt and data of course so it came out at 20 quid for 1month

got 1 of those power stick things from Aldi for £6, takes a while to charge from the laptop like and not as much power as the 1 @GrandOldTeam posted, but £6 for emergency power is fine by me.

Plugged into that charger thing now, as when decided to walk down to WiFi zone I found phone was flat. £6 well spent. Just knocked 1 of my hoegaarden over though so all isn't rosy as only got 3 with me.
