tech advice required

I want to buy an LCD tv with Freeview. I've spent hours on the various web pages but it's all a bit too techy for me.

Any suggestions chaps? 32" screen and needs to be fixed to a wall bracket.

All help much appreciated.
 

They are all pretty much the same these days, stick with a name you trust and shop around for the best price. You know what size you want so its just a case of finding the bargain.

see what I mean, it's all nerd speak and no one has a bloody clue what it represents. How long before they run out of numbers and letters and just end up calling new telly's nice names like Toshiba Avenger or Sony Focus?

I'll just get the one that looks nice then shall I.
 
Yes, looks are the most important thing. I used to spend ages looking at tech stuff, reading what features it has, you play with these things when you first get the TV. Then you either dont bother, either because you cant use it or you simply want to watch TV on it.

So my advice is to pick the 1 that matches the room its going in and stick with a name you trust over the years. And then simply the cheapest, when I say cheapest, make sure its a fairly well known name. Just makes things easier for things like repairs and warranty, but I suppose that doesnt really matter in this throw away world we live in.

Feel free to drop a few links in and I will give you my un-expert view on it.

But price should be your only concern, they will all show TV, some will do it better whilst sounding better, but in time, you will care not 1 bit.
 
AH! correction, no one knows except MG. I still don't know what it means really but I'll go with the bossness value according to Chico and look at the picture again to make sure it matches the decor!

In my experience the not so well known brands compare quite favourably with the so-called Premier makes.
Accoustic Solutions is the make of mine. 37" LCD -- Damn good in my opinion.
