I find the newspapers theory that now we've sold arteta, we're automatically in a relegation dogfight. It's from one extreme to the other and some where in the middle is where the truth is.

theyve got to make a living i s`pose. they create a story about a story

They probably are gutted about Mikel but they're professional footballers and this sort of thing comes with the territory. I hope they use all this negativity surrounding the club and use it to motivate the players, "backs against the Walls, coming out fighting" etc I'd love to see a real spirited performance against villa, get the crowd up for it and show us that they care

Thats the thing, the press and pundits alike make it out to be that Everton was all about Arteta, he was the main man and made us tick and without him were going to struggle and i think thats a bit disrespectfull to the other players cos it wasnt a one man show at Everton, yes he was a top player but we was a team based on a good team ethic and spirit, one player doesnt make all that happen!.

I for one hope the players get over it and step up out of the shadows of Arteta and show that we are a good side and are just having it bad of late and that we can play some decent stuff and win football matches, we did when the best little spaniard we know was injured and we will do so now he's left!.

You'd think 20,30 grand a week plus would boost most people's morale... Footballers are a shower of big girl's blouses and if their morale is bad, shame on them. What about us and our morale as loyal fans?

Mo money mo problems Bro.

Morale is probably low because they've seen the arse torn out of a squad that was 2 or 3 signings away from challenging for the title.

Anyhow, We have three Evertonians in midfield, and Jags, Baines, Cahill, Neville and Howard as leaders. We will be okay, or should I say "we shall not be moved."

Geez, just when we thought we could knock off 10million from our debt, we now realise its all going on counselling fees for the players!

FFS! I bought a DVD at a shop today & the guy behind the counter saw me in my Everton top & said "You guys are gonna be fighting relegation now!" You'd think that being on the other side of the planet one could avoid such tripe...apparently not.

Naturally, I jumped the counter, nutted him, and stole the DVD's...I ran off shouting "COME ON YOU BLOOOOOOOS"
