Anyone done this? I have seen an internship in China where you pay £645 and get a £200 allowance each month with free food and acomodation. You also do a TEFL course at the same time. Never done anything like this before, has anyone any experience of this? I am hoping it might be an intro into teaching round the world. I hear you can give private tuition for quite a good salary out there. Anyone?

i dont have a degree. I have been working in the banking industry for the last 15years. Need a change. Dont need a degree to start the course. I think if i spent 6months in a school in China I will have enough time to make some contacts and get some private tuition sorted

thanks mate that's really helpful and i am sure it will be a great place to start. I have already learnt how to spell accommodation. I am typing quickly as i am in the office and dont want people to see that i am plotting an escape route. I hope this is ok. p.s sorry for using 'i' in the lower case.

It was just a joke lad. If you're getting upset over such a minor issue I would think twice before going to a country with such a different culture, language and history......

i'm really not upset. But thanks for all the advice - most useful.

There's no way you should pay up front then work for such a low wage. I did it years ago, there was plenty of jobs you just have to be a native speaker to get them. I'd say turn up with some spare cash faced and look for jobs, you'll find something.
