Hey, I've never watched a Merseyside derby & unfortunately not been to Goodison for a while. I'm bringing my wife & we are staying 10 minutes away from the ground. Any advice on taxis? Is there a taxi rank near Goodison? I'll expect it will be crazy time to get one when the match is over.
Any advice is appreciated.

10 mins away...walk it mate take in the banter & atmosphere....few pints on the way too.

I'd saying trying to ring a taxi in the hour or two before the game might leave you waiting a while. I'd book a taxi the night before.

After the match you'll find taxis waiting on the side of the road once you get a bit down Walton Lane.

Cheers, it's 10 minutes by car so will be a bit longer walking. I was planning on going to the Everton Store first and maybe a pint somewhere to get a bit of atmosphere.

Think I'll book a taxi tomorrow night.

Can't bloody wait! Happy 40th to me!

You should be fine ordering a taxi up to about an hour before the game, Liverpools much better than most cities for cabs. I've got taxis plenty of times when I've finished work late (15-20 minutes before a game) and still made it for Zcars. Its only when the goons across the park are at home you find yourself waiting a bit.

Happy 40th mate, lets hope you enjoy it!
